The huge Europa im Klassenzimmer event, part of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009, will take place on 5 May 2009 in the Museumsquartier in Vienna, Austria. Approximately 1,000 pupils and teachers are expected to participate.

A very important part of the event will include different interactive topic areas, at which the Shape Up Europe project will be presented. As well entertainment for children, there will be an exhibition about exciting school projects and information forums for teachers and all those interested in innovative approaches and their implementation in the classroom.

As the Shape Up project forms a very important part of this initiative, the Shape Up class from Vienna has been invited invited and a children’s cookery presentation will be organised, during which the class will prepare healthy food and offer it to the audience.
